Frequently Asked Questions

  • What time should I arrive?

The venue opens at 4:30 PM. The trail is about a 10–15 minute walk, so please don’t enter the trailhead before 4:15 PM. The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 PM.

  • What is the wedding venue address?

    24121 NE 80th St, Redmond, WA 98053

Detailed directions to the trailhead will be sent the week of the wedding. We’ll also have someone out front to guide you upon arrival so you can’t miss it.

  • Will there be parking available?

There’s limited road parking near the trailhead, so please carpool or Uber/Lyft if you plan on drinking. If the closer lot is full, there’s an overflow lot 3 minutes away.

As we get closer to the event, we can better plan transportation once we know where our guests are staying.

  • What is the dress code?

70s elegance encouraged — think earthy tones, rich textures, and vintage flair. Comfortable shoes are a must for the forest trail, but we’d love for everyone to dress up! Think polished and festive, no jeans or super casual outfits, please.

The celebration will take place outdoors in the forest, and it may get chilly once the sun sets. We recommend dressing warmly and bringing a jacket or cozy layer so you can stay comfortable.

  • Am I going to have to climb?

Rock climb? No, we wouldn’t make you do that. However, you are encouraged to climb on the structures, cross the bridges, go up the ladders to the dream nets, and balance on the downed trees. Think about this when choosing your outfit as movement is key. All of this is optional but it will make your experience more fun!

  • Where should I stay?

Totally up to you! There are a few hotels close by in Redmond:

Archer Hotel, Seattle Marriott (Redmond Town Center), Hilton Garden Inn, Hyatt House, Hampton Inn & Suites

The venue is about 6 miles east of downtown Redmond, so you could stay nearby, pick a surrounding town, get an Airbnb in the woods, or stay in Seattle. It depends on how close you want to be and what kind of scenery you’re feeling.

  • Will food and drinks be provided?

Of course! We’ll have passed appetizers during happy hour, followed by dinner. Our open bar will feature champagne, some of our favorite local wines and beers, and non-alcoholic drinks.

  • Does champagne, wine, and beer mean no cocktails?

Yes, as the venue is not permitted to serve hard alcohol. We will have amazing local wines and beers to choose from (plus champagne)!

  • Are kids welcome?

We love your little ones, but this will be an adults-only celebration.

  • Where is the reception and what does it entail?

The ceremony and reception will both take place at the Emerald Forest so no need to travel once you arrive! After the ceremony, we’ll have a happy hour, dinner, games, a bonfire with s’mores, a nighttime forest surprise, and a zip-line sendoff.

  • Is the wedding outside?

Yes, both the ceremony and reception are outdoors in the forest. It’s a rain-or-shine kind of day!

  • Will there be restrooms nearby?

Yes, there are two real bathrooms at the venue. Just because we’re in the forest doesn’t mean you have to rough it.

  • Is it possible to get lost on the trail?

Not at all. Once you reach the trailhead, just follow the path which leads you straight to the venue. There’s even a halfway sign along the way to cheer you on!

  • Can I come to the wedding and not the other events (Friday Brewery and Saturday 5k)?

Of course! Those events are completely optional. We'd love to see you as much as possible, but this is your journey so choose your own adventure.
